THE ROAD TO THE AREA CODE GAMES STARTS HERE!

The AREA CODE ID SERIES,  powered by Prep Baseball Report, is designed to serve as both an additional layer to Area Code Baseball Games prospect visibility as well as an opportunity for athletes to find areas to improve their game with real-time feedback and instruction from the pro scouts in attendance.

The Area Code ID Series gives athletes an opportunity to develop the critical baseball skills of a draftable player, while learning from the same pro scouts that manage and make the selections for each regionʻs Area Code Games team.

In addition, all data captured at Area Code ID Series events will be made available to the more than 900 colleges and pro scouts who currently subscribe to Prep Baseball Report.

A: Eligible athletes are athletes currently in high school graduating in the years 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.

Q: Are these events actual Area Code Baseball tryouts?

A: No, the Area Code AC ID Series are not Area Code team tryouts. The Area Code ID Series is designed to serve as an additional layer to Area Code Baseball Games prospect visibility for consideration for a tryout invitation. As always, the annual Area Code Baseball tryouts run by Major League scouts representing the eight different national regions, will continue to be FREE to prospects and the scouts running those events will select their teams from those tryouts. The 2021 Area Code tryout schedule will be posted in the spring of 2021.

Q: How much do the Area Code ID Series events cost to attend?

A: The Area Code Identification Series events are $399 to attend if playing a field position. For PO’s the price is $299 and for players that would like to pitch and play a position the price is $499.

Q: What exactly happens at an Area Code ID Series event?

A: Players will be broken out by their primary positions to start defensive work, followed by hitting evaluations, which will be captured on video. Ball flight data will be captured by TrackMan, and swing analysis will be captured by Blast Motion.

Q: What is the appropriate attire for the Area Code ID Series event?

A: All players should bring a fielding glove, wooden bat, batting gloves, cleats (see confirmation for specifics on whether they can be metal or molded), training shoes, hat, batting helmet and any other necessary equipment necessary for competition including pants, etc. Catchers should bring their own catchers gear. Area Code Baseball will not be responsible for lost items. You will be receiving an exclusive Area Code ID Series shirt.

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: Payment for a camp is due in full upon registration. $75 of the total payment is non-refundable. There will be NO REFUNDS for cancellations of any reason within one (1) weeks of the camp date (includes injury, illness, schedule changes, school requirements, etc.). Transferring a registration to another Area Code ID Series date and location is allowable if a conflict should occur on the original date only if you request to do so outside the one (1) week window before the camp date. Transferring a registration from year to year is not allowable.  If an Area Code ID Series event is cancelled due to COVID related restrictions, a full refund will be issued if an alternative event is not available.
